UMCCed has proven its feat as a renowned training provider in the country through its success in producing more than 17,000 graduates from the working community through its executive diploma in numerous fields since its establishment in 1998.
Furthermore, the upgrading of UMCCed’s standing as an autonomous Academic Centre of Responsibility in 2011 has produced a significant impact in terms of revising the centre’s strategy of retaining the catalogue of present programmes while developing new ones. With this enhanced status, UMCCed has been able to further improve its services by increasing the number of quality academic programmes offered via the University of Malaya’s self-accreditation process; this is in addition to maintaining the status quo in the governance and operations of this centre which include human resource and financial management for the purpose of commercialisation activities.
A constant, consistent and continuous endeavour to promote lifelong education has resulted in a favourable outcome whereby the percentage of enrolment in UMCCed’s Executive Diploma and Certificate programmes has shown a significant annual increase. This encouraging response from society, specifically the working community, indicates that the public are interested in meeting the challenge of improving their quality of life, especially in terms of their career, by utilizing the educational opportunities available to them. Our aim is that UMCCed’s efforts in promoting and upholding continuous improvement will attract even more working individuals, both locally and internationally, to partake in the excellent programmesoffered by the institution.
I am certain that every initiative taken has resulted in the improvement of both our programmes and the quality of our service, thus enabling UMCCed to achieve a staggering 90% in the level of customer satisfaction.
For the purpose of further expanding our academic portfolio, three full-time diploma programmes in the fields of management, business and human resources have been initiated, especifically for school leavers. 2013 witnessed the first enrollment in all 3 programmes. This endeavour is in keeping with the nation's aspiration to increase knowledge, creativity and innovation as well as to nurture a ‘first-class mindset' as the essence in ensuring a thriving Tenth Malaysian Plan.
It is the intention of this website to present a clear picture of UMCCed and to provide adequate information about the programmes, events and achievements of this institution as well as its contributions to society. We believe that this capsule of our vision and endeavours will be an inspiration to all readers to become more involved in the activities, educational courses and training programmes offerred by us.
