Overview

This programme aims to provide students with a deep understanding of the fundamentals of human resource management.

The specialisation in Human Resource Management equips students with a deep understanding of the basic elements of human resource management as well as exposure to the latest thinking and best practices in this field. As organisations currently exist in a dynamic environment of constant change in an era of globalisation, this programme views human resource management as a critical aspect in the management of the organisation. This programme is targeted at those who have been entrusted or who will be tasked to operate in the Human Resources Department and individuals who wish to advance their career in this field.

Entry Requirement

Malaysian Applicants

Candidates must fulfill the following requirements

  1. Passed SPM with a mininum of three (3) credits or equivalent: OR
  2. Obtained APEL Certificate from MQA for admission to Diploma (Level 4); OR
  3. Obtained other qualifications recognised by the Senate; AND
  4. Have a minimum of six (6) months working experience; AND
  5. Fulfilled the programme special requirements set by the Senate.

Non Malaysian Applicants

Non Malaysian applicants who wish to pursue study in the Executive Diploma programme at the University must meet the following general requirements

       a. Pass at least General Certificate of Education 'O' Level or other qualification recognized by the Senate;AND

       b. Obtained the following results in one of the English proficiency exams as described below:

  1. A minimum of Level 2 (Band 2) in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET);
  2. Minimum Band 4.0 for International English Language Testing System (IELTS) / CEFR A2;
  3. A minimum score of 397 (PBT) or 30-31 (IBT) for Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL);
  4. CAE (160) (Cambridge English: Advance) CEFR B2;
  5. CPE (180) (Cambridge English: Proficiency) CEFR C1; OR
  6. PTE (Pearson Test of English) (30).AND

      c. Have a minimum of six (6) months working experience.
