Pass the STPM with at least a CGPA of 3.00;

and

Obtained at least Grade B at the STPM level in the following subject:

• Bahasa Melayu/ Kesusasteraan Melayu Komunikatif/ Sejarah/ Ekonomi/ Perakaunan/ Pengajian Perniagaan;

and

Obtained at least Grade B at the SPM level in the following subject:

• Bahasa Melayu/ Kesusasteraan Melayu

and

Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

Science/Accounting/Laws Stream (Current Year)

Pass the Matriculation/Foundation with at least a CGPA of 3.00;

and

Obtained at least Grade B at the SPM level in the following subject:

• Bahasa Melayu/ Kesusasteraan Melayu;

and

Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

3) STAM

(Current Year)

Attain at least Jayyid Jiddan in the Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) examination;

and

Obtained at least Grade B at the SPM level in the following subject:

• Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia/Kesusasteraan Melayu;

and

Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

4) DIP/EQUI

REQUIREMENT 1

Possess a Diploma in any related fields from other institutions recognised by the Government of Malaysia and approved by the University’s Senate with at least a CGPA of 3.00;

and

Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

OR

REQUIREMENT 2

Pass STPM not in current year with at least a CGPA of 3.00 and Obtained at least Grade B at the STPM level in the following subject:

• Bahasa Melayu/ Bahasa Malaysia/ Kesusasteraan Melayu Komunikatif/ Sejarah/ Ekonomi/ Perakaunan/ Pengajian Perniagaan;

and

Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

5) OTHER REQUIREMENTS

(A-LEVEL, AUSMAT, IB, PRE UNIVERSITY)

Have five (5) years working experience in related fields;

and

Obtained at least five (5) credit at the SPM level in the following subject:

• Bahasa Melayu
• Bahasa Inggeris
• Sejarah
• Ekonomi
• Science
• Mathematics
• Geografi
• Perdagangan
• Kesusasteraan Melayu
• Any one (1) other subject;

and

Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application.

Non-citizen candidates want to pursue a Bachelor's program at the University of Malaya must complete and pass at least twelve (12) years of study and obtain the following qualifications:

1. Pass STPM/A-level/IB/equivalents;
2. A Diploma from recognized Institutions with the least a CGPA of 3.00
3. National Higher School Certificate (or an Advanced Level equivalent) with the grade 80% and above
4. Obtain the following results in one (1) English proficiency examination stated below:

• Band of 5.0 and above in IELTS (Academic);
• Score of 500 (PBT), 173 (CBT) or 60 (IBT) and above in TOEFL;
• Band of 3 and above in Malaysian University English Test (MUET);
• Score 41 and above in Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE Academic);
• Grade C and above in English for General Certificate of Education (A Level), University of Cambridge;
• Grade C and above in English for General Certificate of Secondary Education (0 Level), University of Cambridge;
• Grade C and above in Cambridge Assessment English: First (FCE)
• Obtain the special requirements for admission to the relevant study program.

Students must complete a total of 128 credit in order to be awarded the Bachelor of Professional Malay Language.
