Master of Commercial Law

A candidate for the Master of Commercial Law is required to demonstrate ability to carry out under guidance, research of high quality and to relate the research to the broader legal framework. At the end of the course, the candidate should demonstrate ability to present well written work and demonstrate competence in the chosen field of law.

Entry Requirements

Applicants for the LLM programmes at the University of Malaya must satisfy the following requirements:

  1. A Bachelor’s degree with honours with CGPA of 3.0 and above or its equivalent; or
  2. A Bachelor’s degree with honours with CGPA from 2.70 to 2.99 or its equivalent and one (1) of the criteria below, or:
    • relevant work experience;
    • publication in the relevant field;
    • applicant is a scholarship holder;
    • applicant is a University of Malaya graduate.
  3. A Bachelor’s degree with honours with CGPA from 2.50 to 2.69 and two (2) of the criteria below:
    • relevant work experience;
    • publication in a relevant field;
    • applicant is a scholarship holder;
    • applicant is a University of Malaya graduate.
