Active international relation and dynamic economic development make East Asia an axis of the growing international trade. Globalization, followed by the idea of economic integration in East Asia is the force that creates trade opportunities and establishes new relationships in the interactions between countries in this region.
The importance of East Asia from the perspectives of geographic, economic and political strategies in the global arena has led to the establishment of the Department of East Asian Studies offering a comprehensive education program.
The programme offers an integration of China Studies, Japan Studies and Korea Studies. Besides paying attention to the fields of politics, economy, social, culture, management and contemporary international relations, the teaching also focuses on the languages of the three countries.
The programme also offers courses on the East Asia Province to enrich students with knowledge and a deep understanding about the province.
