Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia subject

or

A credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July papers and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above);

Achieve a minimum Band in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) as required in special requirements of the programme.

and
Have fulfilled all special requirements of the programme as may be prescribed by the Senate.

STPM

Pass the STPM with a minimun of CGPA 2.00 and Grade C in any three (3) subjects include Pengajian Am;

and
Candidate must have one (1) of the following qualification: 

• Yamaha Certificate Minimum Grade 7;
• The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• Trinity College London (TCL) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• London College of Music (LCM) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• Australian GUILD Music & Speech Exam Board Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• Possess other related certificate(s) in Music;

or
Obtained at least Grade B for Music subject at SPM level;

or
Have working experience in Music field for at least three (3) years by submitting related evidence;

and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application

and
Pass audition and interview.

MATRICULATION/ FOUNDATION

Pass the Matriculation / Foundation with a minimum of CGPA 2.00

and
Candidate must have one (1) of the following qualification:

• Yamaha Certificate Minimum Grade 7;
• The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• Trinity College London (TCL) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• London College of Music (LCM) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• Australian GUILD Music & Speech Exam Board Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• Possess other related certificate(s) in Music;

or
Obtained at least Grade B for Music subject at SPM level;

and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application

and
Pass audition and interview.

DIPLOMA/EQUIVALENT

REQUIREMENT 1
Possess a Diploma in Music from Malaysia Public University or other institution recognized by the Government of Malaysia and the University Senate with at least CGPA of 2.00;

and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application

and
Pass audition and interview.

OR

REQUIREMENT 2
Have working experience for at least three (3) years as teacher/lecturer in Music field by submitting related evidence;

and
Obtained at least Certificate Grade 8 from one (1) of the following Board:

• The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM);
• Trinity College London (TCL);
• London College of Music

Examination (LCME);

• Australian Music Examination Board (AMEB);
• Australian GUILD Music & Speech Exam Board

or
Possess at least Yamaha Certificate Minimum Grade 6;

or
Possess at least one (1) of the following qualification in Music field:

• Sijil Perguruan Asas Malaysia and Sijil Khas Perguruan Khas;
• Diploma Perguruan Malaysia;

and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application

and
Pass audition and interview.

OR

REQUIREMENT 3
Pass the STPM not the current year with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any three (3) subjects include Pengajian Am;

OTHER  REQUIREMENTS

REQUIREMENT 1

Possess a GCE A-Level qualification with at least Grade B in any two (2) subjects;

and
Candidate must have at least one (1) of the following qualification:

• Yamaha Certificate Minimum Grade 7;
• The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• Trinity College London (TCL) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• London College of Music (LCM) Certificate Minimum Grade 5;
• Australian GUILD Music & Speech Exam Board Minimum Grade 5;
• Possess other related certificate(s) in Music;

or
Obtained at least Grade B for Music subject at SPM level;

and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application

However, applicants who do not possess a MUET but possessed the following results may be considered for a conditional offer with the fulfilment of the MUET requirements within the duration of one (1) academic session:

Obtained of at least Band 4 (Academic) in IELTS;

or
Obtained of at least 437 points (PBT)/ 123 points (CBT)/ 41 points (IBT) in TOEFL.

and
Pass audition and interview.

REQUIREMENT 2

Pass the Foundation Studies in Creative Arts (ASWARA) with at least CGPA of 2.00;

and
Obtained at least band 2.0 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) for the exam session 1 of 2021 or band 2.0 for examination up to the year of 2020 according to the validity period on the date of application

and
Pass audition and interview

Students must complete a total of 127 credits in order to be awarded the Bachelor of Music.  The programme is to be completed in three (3) academic years which consists of 6 Normal Semesters and including 1 Special Semester.

Students must take and pass all courses / subjects prescribed as:
