The Bachelor of Real Estate (Honours) programme, University of Malaya is run by the Department of Real Estate. The programme structure comprises a fulltime study term of 3½ years, the successful completion of which confers upon the candidate a Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate. It is a full-time programme with a total credit requirement of 124 credit hours, within a minimum period of 7+1 semesters and a maximum period of 11 semesters. The programme has received accreditation from local and international bodies namely the Malaysian Public Service Department, Board of Valuers, Appraisers, Estate Agents and Property Managers (BOVAEAP) Malaysia and the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) United Kingdom, with input from the Royal Institution of Surveyors Malaysia (RISM). Being an accredited programme by the BOVAEAP, the graduate of the Bachelor of Real Estate is eligible for direct registration with the Board as Probationary Valuer (PV), Probationary Estate Agent (PEA) or Probationary Property Manager. Additionally, as the syllabus for the Bachelor of Real Estate received recognition by these professional bodies, this programme is professionally recognised locally and abroad.

General Entry Requirements
Pass the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with a credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia subject

or
A credit (Grade C) in Bahasa Melayu/Bahasa Malaysia July papers and pass in History (SPM 2013 and above);

and
Achieve a minimum Band in the Malaysian University English Test (MUET) as required in special requirements of the programme.

and
Have fulfilled all special requirements of the programme as may be prescribed by the Senate.
